First Scholar is a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization dedicated to helping first-generation college students from low-income families succeed in college. Our mission is to empower students to graduate, build successful careers, and create better futures for themselves and their families.
First Scholar believes that higher education has the power to change lives and create legacies that can lift up entire communities. But many first-generation students face big financial and social obstacles on their journey, often with limited support from their families. Our organization makes their path easier by providing financial support, valuable work experience, and guidance to help them thrive in school and beyond.
